When confronted with any immediacy of mark making there is, I would propose, a deposit of almost animalistic activity, intrinsic and evident within the work.
'NOVISSIMA VERBA'
When I reflect upon this audio-visual work I view it as a form of thinking.
‘Thinking’ that is often about affective sensations.
Nevertheless, the work additionally represents an exploration of the symbolic realm.
I consider the moving image juxtaposed with the digital stillness of photography as ongoing exploratory work.
The visuals are not intended to flow in a narrative fashion.
They represent a pattern of thinking where any ending is independent of what has gone before.
