David was born in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1964 and spent his formative years in the North East of England.
Studying in Yorkshire, England, he graduated with a Fine Art BA (Hons) degree in 1987. 
He subsequently worked as a specialist Portrait Photographer, travelling extensively during his professional career.
Since the early 1990s he has continued to perfect his Fine Art practice (undertaking further master-class training and working collaboratively with other Internationally renowned Fine Artists).
He now resides in rural Northumberland.
His recent art work explores 'Transience' and the vicissitudes of 'Affective experiences'. 
He has exhibited widely across the UK and his work is held in numerous private collections.

In 2017 David was awarded a "by invitation only," Portfolio account by Lens Culture after his submission in the 2017 Magnum Photography awards. Portfolio accounts offer global exposure for selected photographers.
